For clients who need maximum strength and rigidity, Hard Hard Jam offers our strongest formula yet—providing even greater durability than  our Signature Hybrid Jams.  Our brand-new hard builder gels take everything you love about Hybrid Jams and turn it up a level. Strong as rock, slightly thicker in viscosity (especially glitter shades) , yet incredibly easy to work with, self-levelling, and designed to give you maximum control with firmer  finish. 

Formulated with  4 modern photoinitiators for complete, even curing and reliable performance in various types of lamps  across all layers to reduce risk of under-curing to absolute minimum. 

Their advanced thixotropic consistency allows the gel to remain stable and self-controlled while at rest, yet become smooth and easy to manipulate when brushed, giving you maximum control and reducing product run-off.

Formulated without HEMA, Di-HEMA, TPO, IBOA , HPMA 

Designed in UK made in EU 

Required to use with base coat - we highly recommend our best-selling HEMA free rubber base which is our most universal base coat free from HEMA, Di-HEMA, TPO, IBOA and HPMA. For clients experiencing major retention issues could be used our "Super Stick" rubber base ( be extremely careful using this base as it contains HPMA and HEMA and it is not suitable for clients with sensitivities or history of previous allergic reactions) which needs to be applied in very thin layer. 

Hard Jams Application Instructions

1. Nail Preparation

Push back and prepare the cuticles as usual.

When working with HEMA-free products, thorough nail preparation is essential for optimal adhesion. Carefully etch the natural nail plate using a 180/240 grit file, ensuring all shine is removed. Take your time with this step, as proper preparation is key to long-lasting results.

Cleanse and dehydrate the nail plate using isopropyl alcohol or acetone.

2. Base Coat Application

Apply a thin layer of base coat using gentle rubbing motions, ensuring the entire nail plate is covered.

For best results, we recommend using our HEMA-Free Rubber Base, as it provides excellent adhesion and versatility.

Cure for:

  • 60 seconds in an LED lamp

  • 120 seconds in a UV lamp

3. Hard Jams Application

Apply a thin slip layer of Hard Jams and do not cure.

Immediately follow with a bead of Hard Jams, distributing the product evenly across the nail while building the desired apex structure.

Professional Tip:
Work on one nail at a time. After applying the builder layer, turn the client's hand upside down for a few seconds. Gravity will help create a perfectly balanced apex.

Use a liner brush to guide the gel closer to the cuticle area and to fill any gaps along the sidewalls for a flawless finish.

4. Curing

Cure in a dual-wavelength lamp (365–405 nm):

  • 99 seconds on low heat mode in an LED lamp

  • 120 seconds in a UV lamp

Professional Tip:
Once all five fingers have been completed, cure the entire hand for an additional 30 seconds. This helps ensure complete polymerisation and reduces the risk of under-curing.

For optimal curing performance, replace professional-use lamps approximately every 12 months, as LED output gradually decreases over time with regular use.

5. Finishing

After curing, remove the inhibition (sticky) layer using isopropyl alcohol or acetone.

Lightly buff the surface to create a smooth matte finish before applying colour gel or top coat.

Your nails are now ready for the next step of your service.

Bubble Gum

A bold, perfect bubble gum pink. A fun, high-impact shade ideal for summer sets, statement nails, or as a vibrant base for French manicures.

Perfect Nude

A true natural nude designed to complement every skin tone. Clean, minimal and versatile — perfect for “your nails but better” looks, subtle French tips, or as a base for nail art.

Petal

A warm nude-pink with soft orange undertones. Fresh and flattering, giving a naturally healthy, sun-kissed finish to the nails.

Dusty Rose

A cool-toned nude pink inspired by soft blush. Elegant, muted and effortlessly chic for everyday wear.

Almond Milk

A light milky white nude with a soft creamy undertone. Fresh and modern, inspired by almond milk — perfect for clean, glossy summer nails or minimalist sets.

Ingredients Breakdown 

BIS-HEA-POLYGLYCOL ADIPATE/IPDI COPOLYMER

This is a flexible film-forming resin.

Creates the base structure of the gel,

Gives strength + flexibility at the same time

Helps the product adhere to the nail plate

Improves durability and resistance to cracking

Think of this as one of the “backbone” ingredients that holds everything together.

 

BIS-HEA POLY(1,4-BUTANEDIOL) / 9/1 PD COPOLYMER

Another structural acrylate polymer system.

Enhances adhesion to natural nails

Improves wear time and chip resistance

Adds controlled flexibility (prevents brittleness)

Helps create a smooth leveling gel texture

This works alongside the first polymer to balance strength and flexibility.

 

TRIETHYLENE GLYCOL DIMETHACRYLATE

A crosslinking monomer.

Builds a tight 3D network during curing

Increases hardness and durability

Improves chemical and scratch resistance

Helps the gel fully “lock in” after curing

This is one of the key ingredients that makes the gel feel “hard” after curing.

 

ISOPROPYLIDENEDIPHENYL BISOXYHYDROXYPROPYL METHACRYLATE

A high-performance functional monomer/resin modifier.

Improves adhesion to the nail plate

Enhances mechanical strength

Helps with flex + strength balance

Contributes to a long-wear finish

This supports both durability and performance under stress.

 

SILICA DIMETHYL SILYLATE

A rheology modifier (thickener / texture control agent).

Controls viscosity and thickness

Prevents product from being too runny

Helps with self-leveling behavior

Improves application control for nail techs

This is what helps the gel feel smooth and not watery.

 

METHYL BENZOYLFORMATE

A photoinitiator.

Starts the curing process under UV/LED light

Converts liquid gel into a solid polymer network

Works efficiently in UV and LED lamps

Without this, the gel would not cure properly.

 

HYDROXYCYCLOHEXYL PHENYL KETONE

Another photoinitiator (Type I).

Helps initiate fast surface curing

Improves depth of cure

Reduces tacky layer after curing

Works especially well in LED systems

This supports fast and reliable curing.

 

ETHYL (likely ETHYL TRIMETHYLBENZOYL PHENYLPHOSPHINATE)

A high-efficiency photoinitiator 

Ensures deep curing in thicker layers

Improves hardness throughout the product

Reduces risk of under-curing inside the layer

Helps with low heat spike curing experience

This is important for salon-quality performance.

 

TRIMETHYLBENZOYL PHENYLPHOSPHINATE

Another advanced photoinitiator

Enables fast LED curing

Ensures complete polymerisation

Improves clarity and long-term stability

Helps reduce yellowing over time

This is one of the most important modern gel curing agents.

 

P-HYDROXYANISOLE (p-Anisole derivative / stabiliser antioxidant)

A stabiliser and inhibitor control agent.

Prevents premature polymerisation in the bottle

Extends shelf life of the product

Stabilises formula during storage

Helps maintain consistency and safety

Think of it as the ingredient that keeps the gel “alive but stable” until curing.
