A quick guide to choosing the right material.
As we all know, not all gel systems are created equal. Each one has its own unique properties, purpose, and ideal application. In our range, you'll find three different systems:
Hybrid Jam - hybrid between hard and soft gel , Gummy Jam - soft builder gel system, Hard Jam - Hard gel system.
Each system is designed for different nail types, client needs, and services. Understanding the differences will help you choose the right product for every appointment and achieve the best possible results.
Hybrid Jam - Hybrid Gel system
Our Hybrid Gel is the first system in our range and our signature formula.
If you love the consistency of a soft gel or builder-in-a-bottle, this will feel instantly familiar. It combines the strength of a hard gel with a touch more flexibility, making it a perfect balance between durability and comfort. All of our Hybrid Gels are highly pigmented, available in both nude tones and glitter finishes.The formula is slightly more flexible than traditional hard gel.
when you can use this system :
- your client has weak nails and need stronger overlays
- to fix missing corners or free edge

to strengthen natural nail free edge before applying soft gel system - read my previous nail blog about this topic where I implemented this technique to avoid lifting from free edge on square nails
- short to medium extensions on forms or half tips - yes this material is perfect for it
- to fill up gaps and missing bits on nail or to even a shape of natural nails - see my previous nail blog where I used hybrid gel with added nylon fibre to fix the shape
- on clients with extreme sensitivities or with previous allergic reactions (only when paired with hard base ) our hybrid jams are free from HEMA, Di-HEMA, TPO, IBOA, IBOMA, HPMA (same implement to our hard base)
- if you love the viscosity of soft builder gels but you want extra strength
Do I need a separate base coat ?
yes, base coat is highly recommended to use with all our systems ( I covered this topic in previous Nail Blog why is so important and why we prefer a 3 phase nail systems to all-in-one)
Base coats to pair with : Hard base ( recommended for clients with allergies or sensitivities ), Hema Free rubber base ( the most popular and most universal base coat, my personal favourite and must have), "Super Stick" rubber base ( last option "when nothing else works", contain HEMA and other potential allergens so must be used with caution)
Gummy Jam - Soft builder gel system
Our Gummy Gel is a soft builder gel system. As the name suggests, it is fully soak-off, making it easy to remove when needed. It offers more flexibility while still curing to a strong, durable finish. Although it is more flexible than a traditional hard or hybrid gel, it cures with a harder feel than most typical rubber base systems.
When we recommend to use Gummy Jam ?
1.short natural nail overlays on strong, healthy nails. If the natural nails are very flexible and weak on free edge, ifting may occur and recommend to use harder material as hard gel or hybrid
2. For clients who want longer overlays, Gummy Jam can be combined with Hybrid Gel or Hard Gel by reinforcing the free edge first. We highly recommend the technique demonstrated in our previous nail blog, where the free edge is strengthened using a stronger material such as Hybrid Gel or Hard Gel before completing the overlay with Gummy Gel. This provides the flexibility of a soft gel while maintaining the strength needed for longer nails.
3. if you prefer to soak off every set ( I personally recommend to provide infills instead to maintain a natural nail health and to avoid overfilling the nail over and over again)
4. if you prefer to apply product straight from bottle instead of pot and like more "watery" consistency
Base coats to pair with : Hema free Rubber base (the most universal and suitable base for this system ), "super stick" rubber base ( only if the Hema free rubber base doesn't perform well, needs to be applied extremely carefully in very thin layer - see product description)
Hard Jam - Hard gel system
Our Hard Jam hard gel is the newest addition to our system range, designed as a step up in strength from our Hybrid . It features a thixotropic consistency, meaning it stays in place until you apply pressure with the brush, at which point it moves and self-levels smoothly. This makes it easy to control while still giving a clean, even finish. The formula is lightweight and user-friendly, with excellent self-levelling properties. Compared to Hybrid l, the consistency is slightly thicker, although similar in feel to Hybrid Jam versions that contain added nylon fibre.
When to use Hard Jam
1. Hard Gel is ideal for a wide range of services, including short, medium, and long extensions, as well as strong overlays. It is particularly effective for reinforcing weak areas, repairing cracks, and correcting imperfections on the natural nail.
2. It can also be used to strengthen the free edge when combined with softer systems such as Gummy Gel or Hybrid Gel, providing additional durability where it is needed most
3. for clients who like long overlays , small amount of filing underneath the nail can also help to blend the natural nail seamlessly with the hard gel. 
4. for medium - long extensions
5. if you prefer thicker thixotropic consistency and like to work with product in pot
Base coats to pair with: Hema free rubber base ( the best and the most universal base coat ) , "Super Stick" rubber base ( only if the Hema free rubber base doest perform well on client , needs to be used with caution and in extremely thin layer - see product description)
